The Art of Happy-Cycling

I can't remember his name but I will call him Mr. Happy. He works as door-keeper in one of Maputo's buildings. We started to chat one of these days. What was the motive? The shared enthusiasm for bicycles... that's right!

Bicycles and Bread

Several bicycles at one of Chókwè's bakeries.

Cheap, classical and robust.

Makes me remember the time I lived in Chókwè and the fresh morning rides to get fresh bread :)

How I meet Salma

I meet Salma because of bicycles. She arrived in Maputo and wanted to start cycling as she used to do it often in Australia. She was looking for bicycles shops in the city but was not happy with the offer and lack of good client care. She discovered this blog and contacted me. I was happy to have feedback from readers and rented her one of my bicycles. We did some rides at the end of afternoons in the city.

Maputo is a very nice city but the high number of cars that enter the city every day is becoming a very big problem.

Salma is leaving friday to Tanzania. I hope she finds a bicycle over there and continues cycling.
